MICATU Overhead Sensors
The Overhead Optical Sensors capture everything you need: current and voltage, temperature, current harmonics and voltage harmonics, more accurately and precisely than any traditional solution. That’s in addition to being completely modular, hot-stick deployable, and safely isolated from the current.
Platformed with the m410B Optical Signal Processor for real-time delivery, the MICATU Optical Sensors deliver a wider range of metrics to power your every analytics need, safely and easily.
Safe
The MICATU Optical Sensors present no violent failure or electrocution risks, because the optical technology works outside the line current and is electrically isolated.
Accurate
MICATU Optical Sensors maintain +/- 0.5% accuracy across the entire measurement range, regardless of applied voltage or current, and in all typical environmental conditions: from -30° C (-22° F) to 70°C (158° F).
Advanced
The injection-molded HCEP housing is lightweight, durable, and keeps the entire sensor free of conductive materials. The all-optical design keeps the sensor isolated from the current, ensuring high reliability and long life.
Easy Install
A typical three-phase system can be completed in about 3 hours. Each MICATU Optical Sensor is attached to the conductor cable on a swing link mounting system via shotgun stick. Fiber optic cables connect the sensors to the m410B Optical Signal Processor.
Our Products
The MICATU Medium Voltage & Current Sensor System utilizes a 100% “all-optical” measurement platform for unparalleled accuracy and precision of both voltage and current across multiple voltage classes. Installation time for a typical three-phase system is less than three hours, resulting in significant deployment savings. All signals from the sensor are connected via optical fiber connections to a “plug & play” modular optical sensor platform m410 Modular Optical Sensor Platform that is fully ruggedized and scalable.
